Down jackets, coats, bags and scarves are the winter-fashion must-haves. You'll see them everywhere during this winter and they're going to be a classics. Simply because they are so warm and comfortable to wear. And for us hobby seamstresses there is an additional advantage: they are easy to make yourself. Vogue Patterns 1757 is an excellent sewing pattern for a Chanel-Style down jacket. Vogue 1757 This sewing pattern is a new sewing pattern and offers two Chanel-Style jackets in different length variations. Model A. is short and has the typical Chanel colors: black, white and gold buttons. Model B is longer and can be worn with a belt. We have made model A., in a next blog we will create model B. Both jackets look very 'bulky' but are still beautiful and a lit bit slimming because of A GREAT SHAPE and model B can be worn with a belt. Fabrics and filling The recommended fabrics are nylon, lining fabric and thick fiberfill on the inside. Choose a thicker fiberfill to mimic the effect of down. You can also choose a lining fabric as the outer fabric, but go for a firm version. You also need beautiful buttons: Beautiful buttons |
