The work-description is in the Dutch language, but there are plenty of pictures to help you through all the steps to create the bag. It is actually a very simple sewing pattern. And the result is great: the bag is big, very spacey and it makes traveling light.  No one likes to think about it... but it can happen that you are suddenly admitted to the hospital. Or it is planned and you know that you will stay there for a few days or even longer. What kind of clothes do you bring?
The hospital's instructions advises: easy-fitting clothing, but that doesn't always mean that sweatpants and t-shirts are useful. The concept of a picnic blanket is often as follows: it is a nice thick blanket, you roll it up and take it with you on the back of the bike or you hang it under your backpack as a folded roll.
But this idea, originally from an old 1997 BURDA, is much better. And more chic! Fold this picnic blanket three times in length and twice in width and voila: it's a bag. How is that possible? It's quite simple: the bag is sewn to the picnic blanket! Country Chic! |
