The Couture Skirt, review

• The book is informative and very useful.
• Lots of information and instructions.
• Good images to illustrate instructions.
• Advanced sewing techniques explained, some basics as well.
• Lot's of extra detail to finishing and fit technique.
• Interesting photographs which are very rare.

not sure...

• A lot of photographs of author's own designer couture collection, which are beautiful but not useful.
• A bit scary for beginners because of its advanced levels.
• Instructions are only for the more advanced seamstress.
• Re-building a skirt-pattern into the faux-wrap skirt will be a challenge.
• The skirt looks a bit old-fashioned, unfortunately there are not much modern adjustments.

Notes: A few basics and steps are not explained. I would recommend to advanced seamstress or home sewers who are able to follow a sewing workshop to get some help or advice.
