The book is a beloved and helpful reference.
Lots of informations and easy to read/follow instructions. It's well-written and illustrated. It covers lots of ground for beginning or advanced sewing techniques. An excellent gift for beginners ànd more skilled seamstress. A-Z Guide makes it easy to use. |
A bit boring and too much of the same thing over and over.
Page 159/160: how to make a knot in a thread..... ? We do not think we need two pages of instructions like that. The Sewing Bible should have had a spiral-binding, to use it on our sewing-table and not fight with it's bulky, too big and heavy. |
NOTES:
We would have loved (and we did actually expect...) if the book should have been more focussed on the famous sewing patterns.
To the publishers: Please consider to publish the next issue as a real Sewing Guide Manual: spiral-binding or whatever so that the book can be used easier and more easily in the sewing studio or can also be taken to workshops. The book is too big, heavy and clumsy.
