The Vogue Sewing Pattern V9095 is a real classic. It is a popular sewing pattern. The drawing could get a modern update because the pattern is used by many seamstress all over the world and for a long time now It is all about the fabric, whether the jacket will be very classic or very modern The pattern can be easily update and have a very modern fashiobable re-make when must-have fabrics are used and the contrasts trims are creative matching.
For instance: we have seen this jacket in a color-blocking model. It looked absolutly fantastic and very fashionable. We have also seen this pattern in leather, a faux-fur and even in a see-through fabric. All creative and personal in every details.
But the pattern is also used for jaquards fabric and very suitable for weddings, party's, festive occasions and events.
Our lightblue suit is a bit of Vintage look and classic as well, It could be very nice combined with jeans in a casual style, but it is created for a classic style. The lining is quilted on the fabric. The pattern does not mention anything about this sewing technique, but we learned from the book of Claire Schaeffer to add this technique to create the lovely Chanel-designed jacket. Because of this lining tehnique; the jacket feels like a second skin and looks perfect on the inside as well.
The skirt is the faux-wrap skirt as Chanel used to design for the women who want to look sophisticated but comfortable as well. The faux-wrap skirt is couture in every little detail. The zipper is hand-sewing and the waistband is lined with the silk. None extra fabric on the belly-part so it does not add any tiny little fabric layer extra.
A lot of handsewing, a lot of extra faric needed because of the print of the fabric and a lot of practise to construct the jacket perfectly. But it is worth it and we are happy to show the results.
Both sewing patterns are great to use over and over. We will soon get back with a jaquard fabric and use the pattern and the same sewing techniques again.
