Onze test
We have extensively tested the Pure Lite and find the lamp very pleasant to use for when you are behind the sewing machine.
The lamp has an ideal height and is very handy. You can easily move the lamp without it falling over. The lamp is stable. The lamp certainly does not have that look: the lamp looks very elegant and is anything but a beast. (our previous lamp, which provided good light, but occupied half the table).
The three light modes are a major advantage.
Neutral white is nice but the
warm white lighting is especially nice in the evening when your eyes start to get tired.
The daylight position is pleasant again for precise work, for example if you have to do manual work. However, opinions about this were stated. A girlfriend dressmaker preferred the neutral white shade.
This lamp is definitely recommended. The only downside is that the lamp does not last long without having to be recharged. On the other hand, we ourselves never work concentrated for 2.5 hours on one sewing project. The time-span is usually shorter and is often interspersed with working on the lock machine, the cover lock machine or the sewing machine. The lamp can in principle be taken to the cutting table, the lock machine or the cover lock machine. But if you go on for a whole day in a row, then the lamp will have to be recharged for a short while by plugging in the socket with the cable or in the computer. An USB charger is also handy in this case. In that respect, the lamp is extremely flexible. There is always a power outlet, a PC nearby, and if not; make sure you have a charged usb rechager. Then, regardless of the number of hours you spend working, you can take the lamp with you everywhere and provide lighting for every piece of work in your sewing project.
Another downside;>) is that the lamp is not only rechargeable but also 'easy to loose' or it will happen more than once that the lamp will be 'borrowed' by someone else. Search, search, and yes, the lamp suddenly appears on the work table in the garage or even disappeared to the shed. Maybe a solution to buy one for every family member? Or a lamp with a sticker for every seamstress in the studio? Now that we are still working on LED lighting ...
